Oh boy…..here we go again! So what am I going to be using to get me through the day after a long hospital day of testing and driving? Music!!! Music has been one of my greatest joys since before I can remember. My family loves to watch this home video of tiny toddler Becca in my grandparents’ house. Someone was playing music on this old black boombox and had it sitting on the couch. I crawl over to the couch, pull myself up right in front of the boombox, and start bouncing up and down and shaking my head as hard as I can. I think it’s one of my parents shooting the video and they laugh. Then they have the audacity to move my jams to another part of the couch!!! What’s a tiny tot to do when her jams are removed??? That’s right, I follow! I plop down, crawl over to the other couch section, pull myself up again, and continue “dancing” as hard as my little self can. Growing up, music was my main way to express myself. Even when I was so introverted that people wondered if there was maybe something “wrong” with me, the second the music hit, I came alive! As I got older, Zumba class became where I finally started to make friends and find my confidence. Now, I will pop-lock-and prop it anywhere there is music! From dancing in the car to dancing around the kitchen, I still follow the music and keep my groove going. Tomorrow will be a lot of motivational music to try to help me keep going through physical therapy, some house chores, and maybe some self care. So find what song motivates you and let’s blast it together! (Also, I’m currently listening to Entertaining Angles by the OG Newsboys)

Enjoy this post-workout pic and my latest bad joke! What’s a dog’s favorite button on the remote control? The “paws” button! 🙂
